Yunhan is a senior Ph.D. student at NYU whose research interest lies in the intersections of engineering, applied mathematics, and machine learning. He is enthusiastic about leveraging applied mathematics and data techniques to solve real-world problems. He has a series of publications on modeling epidemic spreading, machine learning with poisoned data, and motion control with missing sensing data. Besides his research work, he is passionate about math and science education and enjoys simplifying advanced math and science content into accessible materials. He likes to play soccer, read historical fiction, and walk his dog in his spare time.

As YDSL’s Co-Director of Content Development, Yunhan leads the development of YDSL’s self-paced content, providing our students and teachers the flexibility to learn based on their own individual schedules. Yunhan’s work is instrumental in making our program accessible to all students and especially those from under-represented communities.
