Chelsea Xian

Role: Director of Marketing

Chelsea is a freshman at the Foster School of Business at University of Washington who uses her leadership to inspire others and bring out their potential. She is deeply involved with her community, from organizing large service events across her school to working with musical non-profits, bringing accessible music education services to the Seattle area. Chelsea also spends much of her time mentoring her own students in dance, violin and leadership skills through her self-started organizations. In her free time, she loves to explore the PNW, read works by Jane Austen, and meet new people.

As YDSL’s Director of Marketing, Chelsea leads our program’s growth from the perspectives of content marketing, branding, and storytelling. Chelsea’s work is instrumental in highlighting the diverse and creative aspects of data science that will in turn help data science education appeal to diverse learners. Chelsea uses marketing research to improve our program’s offerings and better understand those we serve. Her work also provides a spotlight for student projects by uplifting their voices and making them the centerpoint for our brand.
